Hey! I'm Faith, a local photographer and videographer with graphic design experience based in Maui, Hawai'i. I'm a proud American Filipina who started storytelling at a young age.
Growing up on the islands, I admire the people and communities I've come to be part of. I intend to center my work around people's stories and a sense of place, honoring those who make up Hawai'i and beyond.
My visual style and aesthetic range from each project while ensuring quality and personalized products for clients.

Congratulations to the class of 2022! We would like to highlight two seniors, Inez Anderson & Faith Christy Soilven, who have recently graduated high school and who have been a part of our HIFF Education Programs.
Twenty-six teen journalists from 14 states gathered in Washington, D.C., this summer to sharpen their broadcast journalism skills at the fifth annual Student Reporting Labs Academy. Paired with mentors, SRL fellows filmed, scripted, and edited reports in just 4 days. Here are their stories about youth engagement programs in the nation’s capital.
Most kids rely on family stories, pictures, parties, community events and the internet to create a cultural identity of themselves. Even though second-hand information and limited visits, Pinoy pride and the question “What does it mean to be Filipino?” have been or are yet to be answered.
We asked students across the country to write a letter to middle school versions of themselves. These letters provide advice on issues like mental health and relationships. This piece was produced by Faith Christy Soliven at Maui High School in Kahului, Hawaii.
